I need YOUR help!  A rare chance to get interactive with Sean's life hehe

How much do I spend on"Li"'s (the new girl) b-day present?!  I don't want to come across too strong or whatever...

Things to consider:
+ We have been dating out for about 2 weeks
 +
We have been talking for about 3 months
  - We don't use the term "boyfriend" or "girlfriend"
+ She's cancelled dates with other guys to see me
+ She stopped by my work to introduce me to her friends
+ We see each other about every couple of days
+ We talk on the phone every night
+ (Feel free to include any other factors you happen to remember from previous days on here )

...Hmmmmm!  So what do you think?  I don't want to come across too strong, but not to light...want to be just right.  Like goldilocks!  lol

So should I be doing as much as I would on my girlfriend of a year?  Or how much I would on a new friend?  I don't know!

Help Sean!!

'Morning
I woke up sharing a bed with the most beautiful girl.

We were supposed to go to a show the other night at the Casbah, but she decided she didn't want to come all the way down from north county cause she was sleepy.  She said she was in bed staring at the ceiling.  I asked if I could stare at her ceiling too.  She said "ok!"  ...I had never seen her ceiling

So we laid there, staring at her ceiling, talking, ok a couple kisses.  It was great.  Again, we tried to figure out what each other's "catch" was.

The Catch
We're both trying to figure out what each other's "Catch" is.  I said mine is that I'm too busy.  She said hers is that she dated a lot of guys last year.  These answers didn't seem to satisfy either of our quest for a "catch" worthy of such an amazing person lying next to us.

...then we passed out together.

She would wake up for a minute during the night, hug me, or give me a kiss, and go back to sleep.

She got out of the shower this morning and I swear a victoria's secret model walked out of her bathroom.

Ay ay ay.

It was refreshing to do things like just kiss and touch, and cover my eyes while she changed.    It's very nice.

Last Night
When she saw me she came running down the street and jumped into my arms squealing and kissing me.

I'm liking this.  I'm really liking this.

Valentines Day
Last night was wonderful.  I love being with this girl.  I changed the original plans pretty quickly and spent most the night just talking and walking around the city...cabbing from one restaurant to the next.  It was lovely. I can't get her off my mind.    I'm just going to leave it at that.

Friday:  Closing the front door
On Friday I came home, shut my front door, lost my phone and didn't touch either of them really until late Sunday.  yeee!

It had probably been years since I'd had a weekend alone and I took full advantage...

Nekked!  Movies!  Food!
I spent the better part of this weekend around the house with no clothes on, watching stupid movies, cooking meals, and eating them while I watched more stupid movies.  I did some music, but the allure of more stupid movies and fresh, hot meals was a bit too enticing.

Only a couple times during the weekend did I even think of seeing anyone.  For a brief second I thought, "It would be fun if [Li] was here too."  But then I realized I'd have to put clothes on.  And the idea quickly became unreasonable.

Meow
I really love my house.  I kept thinking that over the weekend.  I do not love the cat when she is screaming at the walls.  So I cranked up the heater, which is like cat valium.  The screaming, leaping cat turned into a comatose ball of fur in front of the heater for the rest of the weekend.  I fed her steak all weekend.  Don't tell her mom.

Moog
I went to the opening of a movie on Friday evening (pre-agoraphobia).  It was about a keyboard (synth), and the guy who invented it.  Sooooo geeky   It was cool!  I had 6 voicemails from 3 different people by the time the 45 minute long movie was over.  Then I preceded to disappear (see above).

Just Friends
I had to use this phrase with two people this weekend.  That wasn't fun.  Maybe I'll digress later

Grammys
Watched em with Art.  Bonnie Rait, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and the Staple Singers?  Damn!  A lot of the people that inspire me to make music...all on stage.  That was great.  Usher, The Neptunes, The Killers, and Franz Ferdinand...they inspire me to make records .  J-Lo reminded me how not to perform.

Speaking of...
One of these days I'll have to fill you in on the a-i-d-e-n thing.  The cliff's notes version:  holy sh*t.

My engineer just got done with the new Switchfoot album so he's headed over to my studio soon to wrap things up.  Yay!

Well, gots to be runnin.  Peeeeace

Pad Thai Bliss
I celebrated Chinese New Year at a Thai restaurant hehe  Went to my fav Thai place last night with my dad.  Loooooove this place.  Chicken Pad Thai, baby...bring it on.  Always great hangin with the dad   Talked about stuff and stuff.  I avoided talking about how nutty his wife can be.  lol  One minute great, next minute nutty, ah well.

Post-Pad Thai Bliss

I went home, cranked up the heater, hopped in the shower, and didn't put on clothes again all night.    I worked on the next Aiden album a bit, then popped in a DVD I bought but never watched...The Birdcage.  Pretty cute movie "I do not wear shoes because they make me fall down."  Heheee  So yeah, I just laid on the couch eating peach slices and cous cous.  Mmmm...cous cous.    I almost used my new pots and pans last night for the first time.  But decided cous cous wasn't a big enough occasion to break them in.  Even if it was Cous Cous with toasted pine nuts.  Hehe.

Art:  "I'm horny."
Sean:  "Sorry I can't help you with that one."
Art:  "I've never just hooked up with some guy at a bar...Let's go out and be sluts"

Art and I were going to go out, then he decided he didn't want to go out, then I told him I'd go out anyways with someone else, so he said to call him when I do go out and talk him into going out.  Hehe  I was mucho happy at home, no-clothed on the couch with my foods and movie so I actually forgot I was supposed to call him until just now.  D'oh!

Didn't talk to the new girl yesterday.  Well, I did return her call, but at midnight and even though she said she wasn't asleep, I could tell she was.    So I told her to go to back to sleep.  She said "goodnight" in a groggy little voice that was the cutest thing I had heard all day.

Sushi Delivery
Emily stopped by the studio to say hi yesterday and brought sushi!!!  That was sooo cool.  I wasn't expecting to eat any but it was mucho good.  Yums yums.  Art used chop sticks for the first time.  With two hands.  hehe.  Cool seeing the miss Emily.  She wanted to hang out but Art kidnapped me to run to see his boy.  D'oh.

W3rk
I'm wrapping up a pretty cool project this week!!  The site is going online tomorrow.  Very excited   I'm actually working on lots of cool stuff right now.  And I'm way ahead of schedule for all my clients so yay!

UCLA No Bueno
I called Caitlin and she was crying.    I guess the first part of the quarter isn't going great so great so I talked to her and made her feel a lot better.  That felt good.    Then I played her scenes from The Birdcage with the Spanish audio track on  hehe.  Then we talked about Lenin dying from Syphilis.  Then we talked about how if I had Syphilis, I would want it to dance whenever I turned on the "Chicken Dance" song.  Yes.  Typical conversation.

I just checked my email, had one from her:
"thanks for what you said tonight.  it was exactly what i needed to hear and it did make me feel better. im so excited to see you friday."

Yay

Japan Pics
A friend of mine got back from Japan on tour with his band and I got to see all his pics.  Yeeeee!  I want to go so bad...so cool!  SO much crazy crap!  In one picture was a store called "Sean Avenue."  Word.

Um...did you ever know that you're my heeeeroooo?

Ok, that my sign to get outta here.

Laaater!

Straight Bars
...girls dragging sean into the "hetero" scene.  hehe  I've been to TWO straight bars this week!  Be proud!  Be proud!  Went to the Whistle Stop on Friday and The Casbah last night.  So it turns out I know one of the DJs at the Whistle Stop.  Also turns out BJ's tight with the owner.  That's cool!  BJ and I saw this great funk/jazz band.  I ran into a gay friend of mine and he introduced me to all his anorixic girl friends.

"The Girl"
Last night I met up with "Li" (...that's what we'll call her ) at the Casbah.    Wow.  This girl is...something.  I'm not used to girls saying the kinds of things she says to me.  She says very nice things .  She really likes hanging out with me and I really like hanging out with her.  She's moving a bit faster than usual with the kinds of things she's saying but I'm trying not to let that get to me.  Or wondering if it should.  She's very cool to hang out with.  Lady on the streets and a freak on the dancefloor.  Yes.  Dancefloor.    A very "I don't give a f*" attitude when it comes to partying.  Fun stuff.

Have you ever had someone say very "big" things to you really fast?  Say things (with a serious face) like...
"I love being with you"
"You're so gorgeous"
"I missed you"

...after only hanging out a few times?  I guess she doesn't hold back much.  I guess...   ...it just catches me off-guard.  As someone who does not think I am at all "gorgeous", it makes me feel a bit odd.

She's moving to Hillcrest.  Like I said to her last night, "This could either be really good...or really bad...in a good way"

The Stats:
Name: **** (blog name: "Li")
Age:  25 (Whoa!  I know!)
Occupation:  Web Designer for Prudential
Birthplace:  Hong Kong
Passions:  Her iPod/Music/Painting
Music Match?  Yep.  Likes Britney, Frou Frou, and Zero 7.
Personality:  Laughs a lot.  Very affectionate.  A bit more quiet/observant than my other friends.  Definately lets loose at the club.  Quiet party girl.
Noteworthy:  Virgin (!!!), occasionally uses drugs (I don't)

So I think that's about as dry as I can possibly write about it.  lol.  sorry.  I can honestly say a I'm a bit unsure about this.  Her feelings, my feelings, where they meet, if they meet, if I'm in a position to be pursuing this, if this is someone I should even be thinking about these kinds of things with...

...I don't know.  But I enjoy being with her.  And she's always on my mind.

Night night
